I only wrote about signs of Fossil Echo finally coming to Linux yesterday, but it has already seen a release!

Doing my usual perusing of SteamDB while something is uploading or compiling I came across Fossil Echo. A game that was supposed to be on Linux quite some time ago, but it looks like it's finally happening.

We've been waiting a while on it, but Fossil Echo looks like it's finally nearing a release for Linux.

I really love the visuals in Fossil Echo! Sadly it wasn't a day-1 release, but the developers have stated that they're working hard on it.

Fossil Echo is a pretty awesome looking story-driven platformer that has plans for a Linux version, it's not ready just yet but will be soon.

Fossil Echo is a hand-animated game about a boy on a great journey to reach a giant tower in the middle of the sea. It's influenced by the Oddworld series, Ico and Studio Ghibli films.
